Overview

This safari tour will take you to the 2 national parks of Lake Manyara national park, and Ngorongoro crater. When it comes to Lake Manyara National Park Located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its large alkaline soda lake which is home to the pink flamingo, yellow-billed stork and heron. If you are lucky you may get a chance to see the tree-climbing lions, which are unique to this national park. Watch out for some fun antics from the local baboon population; Lake Manyara is believed to have the largest number of these primates in the World!

When you drive into the Ngorongoro crater you will arrive at the crater rim and then descend down 610m (2000 feet) into the crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is over 260km2 (100 miles2) and was formed when a massive volcano exploded and collapsed on itself 2 – 3 million years ago. It is now the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world and is often referred to as “Africa’s Eden”. Home to more than 25,000 large mammals – it is not unusual to see all of the “Big Five” (buffalo, elephant, rhino, lion and leopard) in a single day.

Our Bronze package is in 3*** Lodges, you can upgrade when booking through the “EXTRA” on the right sidebar to Silver in 4**** lodges, or Gold packages in 5***** lodges/tented luxury camps. Only select one accommodation upgrade.

FAQs

What about tipping for drivers and guides on safari?
The guidelines for tipping are as follows. A tip is expected after the tour, and it is not included in the price. How much you tip depends on how satisfied you are with your safari, or a trekking tour.
For your safari guide, we recommend a tip of US$15-30 per day (this is per group, not per person.)
Again our drivers, guides, cooks, etc. are professional staff people, well educated, with years of experience and we also try to guide them in how to be with you as a client.
Many of the safari lodges operate a shared tip system, and there will be a box in the reception area where you can leave a tip for all staff. Check the information packs in your room as some lodges will specifically ask you not to tip individual staff members. Tips are always discretionary and if you are not happy with the service you have received you do not have to pay tips.
If you feel a guide, driver, or other staff does not approach you in the right way or give you the service you feel you are to have, we would like to hear from you, and also show us potential recordings of such if available, and we will deal with it appropriately.
